With only 41 balls, a South African power batter breaks his previous record.

Rilee Rossouw of Multan Sultans smashed his own PSL record for the quickest century during the league’s 27th match.

The fastest PSL ton by Rilee Rossouw propels the Sultans into the playoffs.

Until today’s match against Peshawar Zalmi, Rilee Rossouw had previously struck a century in 43 balls, but the South African batsman did so in just 41.

Rilee Russow took 17 balls to reach his first 50 and 24 to get his second 50.

One more record

Babar Azam, the captain of the Zalmi team, also reached a personal milestone during the first innings of the same game.

The Zalmi captain reached his fourth fifty, currently the fastest in his T20 career, by getting 50 in just 24 balls.

The right-handed hitter helped Zalmi reach 242-6 in 20 overs, scoring 73 off 39 balls. Also, it was his 83rd 50+ score in T20s.

Babar and Saim Ayub, the Zalmi squad’s openers, created the ideal atmosphere for their team to build another significant total.

Together, they scored 134 runs, helping Zalmi achieve 242-6 in 20 overs, the second-highest total in the PSL this season.

When Saim once more led from the front, the captain scored a fifty with a higher strike rate.

Saim made 58 off 33 runs, compared to Babar’s 73 runs, which included nine boundaries and two maximums.

It is important to note that Sultans defeated Zalmi by four wickets in today’s vital match, despite the latter’s outstanding performance.

The victory guaranteed Sultan’s playoff position.

Rilee Rossouw claims. It was my finest knock ever.

With his ferocious 121 off 51 deliveries, Rilee Rossouw went ballistic and missed 12 fours and eight sixes.

Rilee Rossouw scored most of the runs and used his bat like a swinging door to turn 243 targets into 150.

Along with securing Multan Sultan’s playoff spot, he hit the joint-fastest fifty in PSL 8 and broke his record by smashing the fastest-ever century.

Rilee Rossouw believed that his performance tonight was his most significant yet, evident in his dancing-around jubilation. That was much more satisfying for him because of the thrill of chasing an important score under duress.

I applied what Roy had said the previous evening and started working from ball one, which worked.

This is my best knock ever, but it could be because it’s a run-chase, and everything adds up. The pressure and all said Rilee Rossouw during the press conference following the game.

After Pollard hit that flat six over cover, Tom-Kohler Cadmore urged outside to come in for the one before telling him to turn around because he might get murdered.

It made me giggle. It’s incredible.  Excellent; some good shots and poor bowling bring you to 240.

Rilee Rossouw has performed flawlessly in the briefest format.

There is still a bowling alley there. I cannot divulge my strategies for where the bowlers should bowl, Said he.

Rilee Rossouw has performed flawlessly in the briefest format. In 297 T20s, he kept his average over 30, making more than 140 strikes.

In the T20s, only Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, David Warner, and AB de Villiers have demonstrated such a high degree of consistency.

Pollard, who made a quick 50-year contribution, helped Rossouw out effectively.

The pair’s 99-run partnership provided the framework for a reasonably easy chase near the finish of the innings.

Previously, Abbas Afridi recorded figures of 4/39, but aside from his passable bowling statistics, the hitters faced a finite number of obstacles.

You have to give credit when the batters play that way. Tom Kohler-Cadmore

Jason Roy and Rilee Rossouw received accolades from Tom Kohler Cadmore for their great hits.

He continued by saying that when someone plays this clinically, one must take their hat off.

He believed Zalmi struggled under pressure and could not carry out their plans.

The batters have been excellent the previous couple of games, with Jason pitching incredible innings and Rilee doing the same tonight.

When hitters play that way, you must remove your hat.

We failed to handle the pressure tonight; the par score is 200. Stated Tom Kohler-Cadmore at the press conference following the game.

You must set one and higher boundaries rather than two or three because you already know you’ll try to place them.

We still need to collaborate to execute, even though you can look at many other locations.

The way Rilee Rossouw came out put us under pressure from the first ball, and you need a plan when players are batting that well.

You may slightly alter anything, but you must have a plan.

Anything can happen while you are in the qualification race, and you have three games to take home the title after that, according to Tom-Kohler Cadmore.

Mohammad Rizwan Lauds “the manner we came back and chased 243 after our bowling.”

“The belief was present when the tactical break was called; Mushi bhai and Andy emerged and instructed us to squeeze every last drop of energy out of an over.

I can’t comment on Pollard and Rilee’s performance.

But Usama’s first ball six was fantastic,” stated Mohammad Rizwan in the press conference following the game.

Both the idea and our bowling were mistakes. We failed to score in the final two overs when they hammered hard.

Already discussed that you have yet to use your bat to win games, but tonight he did it on Anwar Ali.

We did a great job of chasing down 243 after our bowling.

Playoff Scenario

After tonight’s decisive victory over Peshawar, Multan has moved to third place.

They will replace Islamabad United in the second position and secure a spot in the Qualifiers if they defeat Quetta on Saturday.

But if they lose to Quetta and Peshawar loses to Islamabad United on Sunday, then Peshawar would also fail.

Based on the net run rate, Quetta might dethrone Zalmi to claim the final playoff position.
